Alexander Kirk

Alexander Kirk (b. 1965, Grimsby, England) is a comedy actor and writer in British television, film, and theatre.

Kirk trained at Bretton Hall, (University of Leeds).

Between the late 90's and 2005 he performed in a double act Kirk & Messingham with novelist and performer Simon Messingham. More recently he has been writing and performing with writer/performer Rufus Jones (actor) of the 2005 Perrier Award nominated sketch group Dutch Elm Conservatoire.

Recent TV credits include two series of Jam and Jerusalem (BBC1) 2008/09, Katy Brand's Big A** Show (ITV2) 2009, Eastenders and My Family (BBC1) 2008, Tom & Barunka for Rough Cut/Channel4 2009, Time Trumpet, directed by Armando Ianucci (BBC2) 2007, Peep Show for Objective/Channel4 2008, Speeding for Talkback/Channel4 and Genie in the House for Nickelodeon (TV network) and the feature film Magicians 2008.

Theatre credits include Gone a modern adaptation of Sophocles Antigone (2004), and Pete and Dud Come Again which began its run at the 2005 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, then moved to The Leicester Square Theatre in London's West End and an International tour.

Recent theatre credits include Coffee, at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and No Son of Mine at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
